I usually have minamul political views but after listening to my normally calm wife go on a rant last night I have to vent.
As some of you know my wife has had Multiple Sclerosis since 1999. She is fortunate that it was found in the early stages and takes medication that kind of keeps the disease at bay.
She has had many conversations in the last 14 years with her neurologist about using marijuana to ease some of the symptoms and he has been an advocate of the medical marijuana laws forever.
Marijuana does ease her symptoms and she has been waiting for Illinois to pass the new laws so she could "medicate" herself in a "legal" fashion.
Well turns out Illinois wants to make it a huge pain in the fucking ass just like everything else that they pass laws on!
My wife is a NRA member and has had her FOID (Firearms Owner Identification) card since she was 20 years old. We both just got done getting signed up for the 16 hours of training required by Illinois to get our conealed carry permits.
Now Illinois says if she is a registered medical marijuana user she can not have a FOID car or a concealed carry permit, what a huge crock of shit!!!
Looks like we are seriously going to start to look at moving south in the next 5 years and get the hell out of the the state called "Chicago"...
