Vortec oil pan
I am installing a 1996 Vortec 454 into a 1972 Chevelle. The problem is that the oil pan hits the cross member. It needs about an inch to clear the crossmember. Is there a pan that fits that has a smaller sump? Should I just pull the pan and notch it? This is a street only car.
