got me another .22 rifle
got another one for my collection :) i helped some friends move a few weeks ago and behind an old corner china hutch that has been there since they moved.... we found a bolt action model 80 marlin firearms .22......now the model 80 was only made from 1930 to 1953! someone had painted the whole thing with black paint :( they dont like guns and asked if i wanted it.... i said hell yeah :D so i spent a few days and tore it down and used aircraft stripper on all the metal but left the black on the wooden stock. got it all back together and shoots like a dream and now you can see the beautiful chrome bolt and trigger too :D

I've still got the JC Higgens single shot 22 that my dad gave me for my 8th b day. Open sites and if I can see it, I can hit it. The seeing part is making the hitting parts closer and closer though ! |
I also have a sweet old Marlin Model 88 semi-auto 22 caliber rifle. Its my "yard gun". Many a squirrel and possum have met their demise from that old gun. I have been pulling the trigger on that one since I was 10 years old. First gun my Grandpa ever gave me.
Marlin guns are well made and if you just take care of them, they last forever! |
Well done. Indeed a good score. I really like the single bolt action/open sights because you make every shot COUNT... you get one-chance to hit the mark usually... it will make you a better shooter.
