Sheet Metal intakes
Ive got a New 632 BBC running with Ported Brodix BB3 Xtra-O heads. It has an Enderle Methanol Bird catcher and Edelcbrock Victor 2R Ported Tunnel ram.
If i change the intake to a sheet metal type (Hogans etc) and keep the Enderle Hat. Will i make more HP and Tourqe???? |
You may see some but I think ultimately the head you have is too small for the cubic inch. We are running that head on a 582. My buddy is running Dart Pro II which I believe are 380s on a 632 with the hat injection. He feels he is leaving a little on the table with that head as well. Are you trying to stay conventional headed?

we are flowing over 480cfm with this head after some alterations.which is more than a big cheif/duke at standard.
|
That is some serious work. What did you do to open the head up that much?

Alot of metal removed and alot of quick metal put back in to reshape the ports. around 950 lift. about 2 weeks of development for the first port.

we are trying to stay with conventional heads. Sheetmetal intake???? 20ft lbs maybe????

IMHO, not worth the cost...........Stick with a good cast intake that's been properly ported and port matched.

Thanks. Thats all i needed to hear. I was always wondering if it was worth the tremendous cost or not.
