roll cage question, please help
 

i have a 65 chevelle which i just had certified to 8.50... getting the car wired now and the cage is painted, question is, im using a roll bar mount control panel and want to tap the front main hoop bar to install the control panel so i dont burn any of the paint, is this legal...thanks alot, rob

I'm pretty sure it's legal, but you could fab a saddle mount out of tubing with tabs for your panel that clamps to the cage. Use T-bolt clamps. They don't look as cheezy as hose clamps......

You can buy the brackets already fabericated, but don't know whitch switch panel you have. You may be able to use these, check the website below.
