67-72 Chevy Pick-up
Any of you guys have a halfway decent beater 67-72 Chevy pickup? Roller is all thats needed. I have a fresh drivetrain (396 & 4 speed) and seem to have the need for a truck. Short or long box; doesnt matter.
Would like to avoid the standard cab-rot if possible. Cheap and cheerful is best. Anything in the MD area? And btw, happy holidays! Scorp |
And a Merry CHRISTmas to you and yours, Scorp !
:D :D :D |

Ok Lively, a little rot then.
Can I just find something with solid cab mounts? I will do the rockers, cab corners and floors ;) Scorp |
None of those around here Scorp, Illinois Dept of Transportation has loved over dosing their roads with salt for years!

YEEEEEEEES SIR THEY HAS  |
Hi Scorp. I see them (67 to 72) from time to time here; but if they have been near the coast they are rotted pretty good. Plus transportation to get one to you (even purchased for free) is going to cost an arm & leg. So basically I am of ZERO help to you. Merry Christmas anyways.

Thanks guys!
So I found a 74 Super Cheyenne CK/20 Camper Special tonight. Fresh 454, TH400, tow package with pretty much no rot. Long bed with newer tires. 5 miles from the house. Not a 67-72 but looks good. Pick it up Saturday, under $2k. Drives nice - needs a little love but its a damn solid truck. Its green so it will be known as the Green Monster. I will post pics when she comes home. Scorp |
Scorp. They're not too hard to find around here. My boss and his dad have several and always know where more are. Usually some rust, but not bad. It would be a LONG haul for sure though. You find something I'll be more than glad to help get it to you.

So here it is. It came home today. Its a 1974 Camper special, 4:10 limited slip rear, 454, PS, PB, Gauges and very dry. Its an Oregon car. Price $1800 :) It will be tagged next week and hauling plywood and drywall. BTW: I christened it the Green Monster. Scorp |
That'll be quite a work horse for ya !
:D :D :D :D :D |
My best friend had the twin of that truck in the color red about 20 years ago.
It had straight pipe duals for exhaust and sound like shotguns going off when he stabbed the throttle! Nice score Scorp, those trucks are getting harder and harder to find rust free :D |
nice scopr didnt see in time to tell ya tons around here lol
|
Uh oh, plywood and drywall. Sounds like you got a project. Good luck Scorp.
