can somebody help me with an oil filter ???
i have a 358 in a s10 i have to pull the headers off to change oil filter can anybody tell me if i can put the oil filter on the fender well or somewhere else
|
yes you can mount a remote Filter anywhere you wish..Jegs,Sumit,Ron Owens or any parts dealer sells them
|
Just don't screw on a FRAM.........
Read why below http://forums.racingjunk.com/viewtop...t=fram+filters |
yea, remote should fix your problem and don't give yourself
another problem and use a FRAM, good luck bud  |
Good advice, no Fram filters. Wix/NAPA is the best to use.

X2....make sure that if you install the remote system, you use different lines if it will be near any heat source. Depending on the location & how you route the lines, the kit lines given are JUNK. I relaced mine with 8AN lines due to close proximity of the headers. And yes, skip FRAM Good luck!

I done the same thing to mine when I ran full length headers, it was still a pain for starter issue's and It is kinda a pain to get the oil lines to clear the flywheel too.. So now I run fenderwell headers and am much happier.

Wheels up is great for show but slower as it robs forward momentum.AND it can be inconsistant as all getout as well as the danger factor of being out of control ! Unless ya have steering brakes

If it were me I would go with a CV products filter adapter. They come in various sizes as far as the filter they use. Quality billet parts not sand cast crap like so many out there. Here is mine...

You are right in that it is VERY exciting to watch !! There are several vids out there of the Wheel Stand Nationals and some of the sky crawling is WILD !! I'd surely do it if I built a purpose built car with the expectation that it could be totaled ! WHAT A RUSH to be seeing sky and going forward at a rapid rate at the same time !

NEVER USE A FRAM
MY 377 carries 40 lbs oil preasure at idle - PLUGED BYPASS - changed the oil and installed a FRAM OIL FILTER - oil pressure to 21 lbs at idle - reved to 3000 had 22 lbs - wow i got a problem - changed the oil filter back to a NAPA PRO SELECT and the oil pressure was right back up to 40 lbs - fram is junk and you can take that to the bank - = VIC
