This is a steel 1934 cabriolet, configured now as a high boy. I built this car to scare me … and I think I succeeded. Like the Beach Boys said, “I can get rubber in all four gears!”
A 34 frame holds a rebuilt Ford FE 428 engine, a TKO-500 5-speed transmission, and a ’76 Corvette IRS rear end. The engine has a slight overbore and a Comp cam. The intake is a Ford tri-power. Brakes are power 4-wheel discs.
The car sports power windows, a power rear deck lid, a remote to control the windows, and heated seats. The top is manual. There is a roll bar, which bolts in and could be removed. I have a hood for this car, too. The grille is a re-chromed original — these can go for $4K!
This car is unfinished. There are a lot of little things to finish and, of course, it needs paint. Finished cars go for $60K and up. TX title and current antique registration. I have all receipts.
